• Program : Adobe Illustrator CS4 (This tutorial use the Blob Brush, a tool specific to CS4. If you have an earlier version of Illustrator, refer to the Alternate Tutorial Methods step at the end of this post.)
• Hardware Needed: Pen Tablet (I used a Wacom Intous4 for the tutorial. If you don’t have a pen tablet, refer to the Alternate Tutorial Methods step at the end of the tutorial for other methods for creating the tutorial.)
• Difficulty: Intermediate
• Estimated Completion Time: 1 hour – 1.5 hours

Es gibt leider keinen Menübefehl um in Illustrator einen Pfad von einem Pfadtext wieder zurück zu gewinnen.

Wenn man jedoch seinen Pfad wieder als eigenständiges Objekt haben möchte, kann man das Mithilfe eines kleinen Tricks erledigen.

1. Pfadtext: zuerst hat man einen Pfad auf dem man schreibt; um Text entlang eines beliebigen Pfades zu schreiben, klickt man am Einfachsten mit dem Pfadtext-Werkzeug auf das entsprechende Objekt.
2. A (Gruppenauswahl): Wenn man nun den Pfad wieder lösen möchte (bzw. neu und ohne Text einfügen), braucht man ihn nur mit dem Gruppenauswahl-Werkzeug anklicken. Dieses ist unter dem Direktauswahl-Werkzeug zu finden. Wichtig hierbei ist, dass man nur den Pfad anklickt.
3. Cmd+C, Cmd+V: im nächsten und letzten Schritt kopiert man die markierten Ankerpunkte des Pfades mittels Cmd+c in die Zwischenablage. Nun braucht man ihn nur noch mittels Cmd+v wieder einfügen (alternativ kann man Cmd+f [foreground] oder Cmd+b [background] verwenden, da hier das Objekt an der Originalposition eingefügt wird).

Vexel art is a digital art that is an entirely pixel-based form of raster art that imitates the vector graphics technique, but is distinguished from normal vector graphics or raster images. “Vexel” itself is a mixture of two words ‘Vector’ and ‘Pixel’. Vexel designs are composed by using multiple layered shapes. It can be done in Photoshop, but vexel designs are not limited to only Photoshop; essentially, it can be done with any image editing software that has a good Pen Tool.
