Ich bin für WACOM in Graz und Linz dabei. Und ich verspreche, nichts vorgekautes bzw. “vorgekochtes” herzuzeigen.

Es würde mich freuen, bekannte Gesichter wieder zu sehen. Bei uns kann man das neue Cintiq 21Ux ausprobieren – eigentlich der Hauptgrund, warum man kommen sollte.

Adobe CS5 City Tour Night

Am 16.4. bin ich für WACOM in Innsbruck bei der Adobe Creative Suite 5 City Tour Night. Dort stelle ich die neuen Möglichkeiten in Kombination mit Wacom-Tabletts vor – u.a. am neuen Cintiq 21ux.

Veranstaltet wird das Ganze vom Apple-Händler Mc AG.

Aktuell sind 462 von 480 Sitzplätzen vergeben! Somit ist noch etwas Platz frei.

Einstellungen

Seit einigen Versionen der Wacom Treiber, gibt es die Möglichkeit Einstellungen zu speichern und wiederherzustellen. Dies hilft sehr dabei, persönliche Einstellungen zu entwickeln ohne Angst haben zu müssen, die ganze Arbeit zu verlieren, falls das System crashed.

Wie man seine Einstellungen speichert bzw. wiederherstellt:

• Das Wacom Tablett-Dienstprogramm ausfindig machen. Am Mac im Programme-Ordner (Cmd + Shift + a):

• Das Programm starten:

• Voreinstellungen sichern bzw. wiederherstellen. Daneben gibt es hier auch die Option “entfernen” – hierbei werden alle Einstellungen des Tabletts verworfen. (Unter Tablettsoftware “Entfernen” kann man die Treiber komplett deinstallieren):

Auf psdtuts+ gibts eine wirklich gute Übersicht zum Thema “Welches Grafiktablett passt zu mir?“. Ich kann diesen Artikel nur jedem ans Herz legen, der mit dem Gedanken spielt, sich ein Tablett zu kaufen.

Weiters kann ich Unschlüssigen den Tipp geben, einfach einmal auf einer Roadshow, Messe oder Veranstaltung vorbei zu kommen und die Tabletts live in Action zu sehen und auch gleich auszuprobieren!

But, why are Wacom tablets so special? In this post we’ll review the advantages of these tablets.

Choosing the Correct Tablet

1. In my opinion, it must be a Wacom tablet.
2. The most relevant technical specification is pressure sensitivity. The more, the better.
3. Smaller tablets are better, cheaper, easier to fit into your desktop, and they work just like the bigger ones. I would only choose the big model if you’re going to use it for CAD.
4. Think about the use you’ll give to your tablet. If you want if for painting, coloring and photo manipulation, it will be 100% useful. For drawing, only Cintiq models are really good, and for designing, you need no more than a mouse.
5. There are second hand markets or brand new old models. They are really worth checking.

Und ja, es stimmt absolut! Ich fürchte mich schon davor wenn das neue Cintiq 21UX bei mir aufschlägt!

45 Amazing Digital Portraits auf abduzeedo

I simply love digital portraits… they can be drawings, paintings & airbrushing or whatever other technique you may like. I think it’s pretty impressive the talent that some artists have on creating digital portraits that are amazing. Amazing for its realism, perfection, lines or even for its details. Maybe I like digital portraits so much because I totally suck drawing and I can only imagine people actually doing portraits so realistic that you may be confused if you are looking for a real photo or not.

Das neue Cintiq 21UX von Wacom ist da. Großartiges Gerät mit der Technik des  neuen Intuos4.

Vorsicht: Wenn man einmal damit gearbeitet hat, will man nichts anderes mehr!

Demnächst gibt’s wahrscheinlich einen Wacom Expert Day am Wifi Linz. Ich werde schauen, dass das neue Cintiq auch dabei ist. Natürlich werde ich auch einen Hands-On Teil einplanen.
